Adam Levine’s first-look deal with the Peacock is beginning to bear fruit, as the musician and “The Voice” coach is developing a single-cam comedy at NBC, Variety has confirmed.
Autobiographical project is based on a young Levine and longtime friend Gene Hong, who have been best pals and roommates since before their professional success.
Hong, a “Community” alum, will pen the pilot and exec produce with Levine and Jordan Feldstein, who inked the NBC first-look pact with Levine back in May.
Universal TV and 222 Prods. will produce the comedy.
