Anderson Cooper Receives Positive Response

Anderson Cooper, the american journalist, author and television personality star, has officially come out and announced he is gay. The most interesting part of this announcement is the fact Anderson Cooper has never actually denied being gay in the first place, while he has also never admitted to it, which ultimately causes this entire scenario to be less of a surprise than it would normally be.

“The fact is, I’m gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn’t be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud,” Anderson Cooper wrote to fellow gay journalist Andrew Sullivan. The letter was publicized by Andrew Sullivan with the complete legal consent of Anderson Cooper.

Anderson Cooper seems to be happy with his decision to open himself up in the gay community. The television anchor of the popular CNN news show ‘Anderson Cooper 360′ also wrote in an email “I’ve always believed that who a reporter votes for, what religion they are, who they love, should not be something they have to discuss publicly.”

“In a perfect world this would not be anyones business” Anderson Cooper stated “But said there is value in standing up and being counted.” The note was originally sent to Andrew Sullivan (@sullydish) of the Daily Beast

An outcry of positivity has stormed his way since the news became public yesterday. “I appreciate all the nice tweets,” Anderson Cooper wrote on his twitter account over ten hours ago. “I am in Botswana working but want to wish everyone a great 4th of July!”
